Join Scott Schneider and Laurie Lehosky each morning on WFMJ TODAY for the latest news, sports, weather and local happenings around town. And don't forget, each Friday, great cooking tips for your next get-together. And join Scott and a host of other radio and television personalities as we celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of the Premier Awards show in this area -- the Marquee Awards. Once again, the awards will be held at the Saxon Club on Meridian Road in Youngstown. The Saxon Club has become the "home" of the awards ceremony having hosted it every year since we began. Festivities will begin at 6pm. with a cocktail hour to give everyone a chance to mingle and see friends and associates that you have not seen during the busy theatre season. At 7pm., dinner will be served and at 8pm. the opening number will kick off the Fifth Annual Marquees.

Local Celebs to Present Marquees
To help us celebrate our Fifth Anniversary, a number of local radio and television celebrities will be joining us to be presenters at the "5th Annual Marquee Awards." Slated so far, are Stan Boney of WYTV; Susan DeLeo, formerly of WFMJ; Len Rome of WYTV; Carol King of WBBG; Jim Loboy of WYTV; Rich Morgan (our Official Spokesman) of WKBN; Glenn Stevens of WFMJ; Whitney Ward of WKBN and Niki Weirich of WYTV. More will be added as we make arrangements with other local radio and television personalities to be award presenters.

Nominees Announcement Party
This year, the Marquee Awards nominations will be announced in style. We will hold a Nominations Announcement Party at The Rosetta Stone Cafe in downtown Youngstown. Although more of a gathering than an official party, the nominations will be announced on Friday, July 25 at 5pm. sharp at the Rosetta Stone. Press packets will be available for the media plus interview with any and all nominees who may be on hand can also be obtained. Join us at The Rosetta Stone, a great new restaurant in the downtown area, on Friday, July 25 at 5pm. Buy a beverage and some munchies, have a seat and be among the first to know who the nominees for this year will be.
Marquee Awards to Sponsor Library Reader's Theatre for Kids
The Marquee Awards will sponsor a Reader's Theatre for kids up through 6th grade as part of our Marquee Awards activities. Titled, "ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE," the readings will take place at the Poland Public Library on Tuesday, August 12 at 10am and at the Austintown Public Library on Thursday, August 14 at 10am. Current Marquee Award nominees will be on hand to read stories in script form. Some local radio and television personalities will also be present, including Rich Morgan of WKBN TV27.
